Matthew Dicks
knows about struggle. Kicked out of his childhood home at 18, he
was arrested and tried for a crime he didn’t commit. He has been
jailed, and he has been homeless. He has died twice, both requiring
paramedics to perform CPR to restore his life. In a violent armed
robbery at a McDonald's restaurant, he was held at gunpoint.
Dealing with a lifetime of PTSD, today Matthew is a full-time
school teacher. He doesn't have to, but he loves it. A brilliant
storyteller, Matthew is a record 56-time Moth StorySLAM champion
and author of many fiction & non-fiction books, including the
recently released 'Someday Is Today: 22 Simple Actionable Ways
to Propel Your Creative Life'.
